Lean Six Sigma Training

In Lean Six Sigma, the "Coaching Aspect" is the bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world results. While the certification provides the tools, the coaching ensures a candidate develops the mindset of a continuous improvement leader.

The coaching component is designed to move learners beyond "knowing" the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) phases to "doing" them effectively within their specific organizational culture.

Yellow Belt: The Foundational Contributor

Theme: Cultivating Awareness and Process Discipline

At the Yellow Belt level, coaching focuses on shifting the individual’s perspective from "just doing a job" to "seeing the process."

  • The "Waste" Lens: Learning to identify the 8 wastes (DOWNTIME) in daily tasks.
  • Data Integrity: Coaching on how to collect "clean" data so that foundational metrics are accurate.
  • Problem Statement Clarity: How to articulate a problem without jumping to a solution.
  • Collaborative Support: How to act as a vital subject matter expert (SME) on larger Green Belt projects.

Green Belt: The Project Leader

Theme: Driving Change and Statistical Thinking

Green Belt coaching is more intensive, focusing on project management, intermediate statistics, and the "soft skills" of change management.

  • What You Will Learn:
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Moving beyond the surface to find the "vital few" causes using tools like Fishbone diagrams and 5-Whys.
  • Statistical Validation: Learning when and how to use tools like Hypothesis Testing or Control Charts to prove that an improvement is real and not just a fluke.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coaching on how to handle resistance to change and how to present findings to leadership.
  • Sustainability Planning: Designing control plans that ensure improvements don't "snap back" to the old way of doing things once the project ends.
